Our Driver Education Class is an academic class.DANVILLE DRIVING SCHOOL strongly feels that every teenager needs a solid foundation from which they will reinforce safe driving habits for the rest of their lives. Our Instructors not only address a wide variety of traffic rules and regulations, they amplify this material, providing an explanation of the necessity of these laws.Students take daily notes and see films crucial to their understanding of risk and responsibility. They learn material relevant to performing well on both the DMV Permit Test and the Driver License Exam, and demonstrate better judgment as well as retention of this material because the classroom has given them another dimension of understanding.
A teenager may take the 4 day Driver Education class before the 15½ year permit eligibility requirement.DANVILLE DRIVING SCHOOL believes that if a teen does this, they will have an opportunity to understand and observe the skills and behaviors they see on the road before they are behind the wheel of a car. Some teens may prefer to take the course closest to their eligibility requirement because they want the material to be fresh in their minds, but test scores do not reveal any advantage to waiting.Usually scheduling and personal preferences dictate the best time to take this class.
During the academic school year, we offer ongoing Driver Education classes on Sundays from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. (Saturdays are reserved for Traffic School Classes.) It takes 4 classes to complete the course. Ideally, these are done on a consecutive basis. This, however, is not always possible and is not mandatory. We understand that students often have prior commitments or appointments and may need to miss a class. WE ARE FLEXIBLE ABOUT MISSED CLASSES.
We track attendance and you may easily reschedule any class or portion of a class you miss.If a student misses a morning or afternoon session, or an entire day, he or she can simply make it up.Months with 5 Sundays or months with holidays will require some adjustment in the class schedule. A typical Sunday Series will follow this format:

IMPORTANT - CANCELLATION POLICY
DANVILLE DRIVING SCHOOL APPOINTMENT, CANCELLATION & LATE FEE POLICIES
You Are Responsible for Making, Keeping and/or Cancelling Your Appointments
The Following Policies are Non-Negotiable:
ALL APPOINTMENTS MUST BE MADE BY ADULTS. Danville Driving School will no longer schedule appointments with students to avoid the confusion and duplication of both parents and students making or cancelling appointments.
ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE WITH 24 HRS. NOTICE DURING BUSINESS OFFICE HOURS. Business Office Hours are Monday - Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm @ (925) 837-8235. A voicemail message does NOT constitute notice of a cancelled appointment. We return ALL cancellation calls the same day. Therefore, should our lines be busy when you phone, please leave a message with your name and number and tell us you NEED to cancel. We will return your call and reassign you. (See Late Fee Policy)
ALL SATURDAY AND SUNDAY CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE BY 3 PM ON FRIDAY. While the Business Office is not open on weekends, our instructor's time has been reserved specifically for you. Since all appointment times with instructors are at a premium, we require sufficient notice so that another student may take your appointment if you are not able to keep it. Please call (925) 837-8235 to cancel. (See Late Fee Policy)
FINAL APPOINTMENTS MUST BE MADE NOT LESS THAN 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF A DMV LICENSE TEST DATE. To avoid unexpected difficulties, delays and deadlines, please be proactive. Call as soon as you can. While your last appointment may be CLOSE to your test date, IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO RESERVE AN INSTRUCTOR'S TIME IN ADVANCE. Instructors' schedules are consistently in demand and while we will make every effort to accommodate your needs, "first come, first served" is our fairness policy. Avoid disappointment by making sure you've got an appointment you intend to keep.
LATE FEE PENALTIES:
$20 / First Time Late Notice / Weekdays
$25 / Second Time Late Notice / Weekdays
$30 / Third Time Late Notice / Weekdays
$35 / First Time Late Notice / Weekends
$40 / Second Time Late Notice / Weekends
$45 / Third Time Late Notice / Weekends
$50 / ALL "NO SHOW" APPOINTMENTS
DANVILLE DRIVING SCHOOL WILL NOT ISSUE A STUDENT'S REQUIRED DMV GOLD CERTIFICATE FOR A DRIVER'S LICENSE TEST IF THERE IS A LATE FEE THAT HAS NOT BEEN PAID BEFORE A FINAL LESSON. While Danville Driving School strives to keep its pricing competitive, the sheer volume of our business means that all appointments must be taken seriously by all parties involved. We appreciate your continued courtesy and cooperation. Thank you!
